This is a pocket diaper, so it allows you to customize the absorbency by using however many inserts you need. It is also a fitted diaper, so you can use it with your favorite wool or fleece covers, or let your baby go coverless to prevent or heal diaper rash. Happy Hempys make a great nighttime diaper. I use them with a hemp insert or both a hemp and microfiber insert and top it off with a wool cover for a super-absorbent, breathable diapering system.
The diaper is made of 2 luscious layers of Hemp Fleece which is 55% hemp 45% organic cotton. They have been prewashed to remove oily build up and to help prevent shrinkage, although they may shrink a small amount. They have elastic at the legs and back to allow for a snug yet comfortable fit. Made with Aplix brand hook and loop closures which fit a wide range of babies and make for very fast diaper changes on wiggly babies. You decide what to stuff them with and how much, according to the needs of your baby (Inserts sold separately).
The Happy Hempy's are a fitted diaper and DO need a cover over them. They have been tested with a large array of the popular wahm wool covers and have been shown to fit nicely under them. The Happy Hempy is an all natural diaper, that allows you the benefit of the pocket diaper. Use during the day with 1 stuffin with or without the insert or at night with 2 or more stuffins.
Now available with soft polyester microfleece inner! For those who like the stay dry effect of the fleece inner in pocket diapers, Happy Hempy's are now available with a fleece inner, hemp outer. The all hemp version is still available for those who prefer all natural materials.

Please note Happy Hempy's run smaller than regular Happy Heiny's Pocket diapers. Medium Happy Heiny's Hemp Stuffins fit in both medium and large Hempys, and large Hemp Stuffins will fit in the XL Hempy.

Hemp prefolds make a great, super absorbent insert in these diapers - great for overnight. You can now choose from a variety of inserts when purchasing your Happy Hempy's. Happy Heiny's Brand Inserts are sold at a discount if bought along with a Happy Hempy Diaper. Please note Happy Heiny's Hemp Stuffins have gone up significantly in price. We have them still discounted until we run out and need to reorder at the higher price. They will then be $8.50 with the purchase of a HH, $9.50 without. We have listed some other brands that work well with this diaper too.
